Chelsea has nearly seven years of public accounting experience and is an Assurance Manager in BPM’s San Francisco office.
She specializes in assisting nonprofit organizations and has experience helping clients with endowments, contributions, grants and donor advised funds.
Chelsea also works on Single Audits for compliance with Uniform Guidance and is involved in the new real-time audit approach. She regularly provides resources and guidance to help with the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard, and in 2020 began working with organizations to navigate how to record the PPP loans they have received, as a result of COVID-19.
No matter what her clients’ needs, Chelsea takes the time to check-in with them throughout the year to discuss any significant or unusual transactions and provide guidance.
When she’s not in the office, she is actively recruiting new BPM teammates at local universities.
Chelsea values her relationships with clients and is passionate about exceeding their expectations, which is why many of her teammates and clients call her driven, strategic and focused.
Chelsea Tabarez holds an active CPA license in California.
Chelsea has been riding horses since she was three years old. She owned an off-the-race-track Thoroughbred, and she competed in the Hunter Jumper category throughout her life.
