Tiffany brings accounting and financial reporting acumen to role

Tiffany Huey, Advisory Senior Manager at BPM, has been appointed Additional Accounting and Financial Reporting Vice Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Sustainability Committee. Joining a team of attorneys, she was invited to bring a unique accounting and finance perspective to drive collaboration across industries.

The Environmental, Social, Governance and Sustainability Committee addresses the multi-disciplinary issues that are encapsulated in ESG, including the critical areas of advising clients in matters of corporate citizenship, natural resource management, sustainability and climate change. The Committee monitors and communicates developments and trends associated with climate risk to companies and supply chains, environmental disclosure requirements, and sustainability reporting.

“There’s a tremendous opportunity for sharing diverse perspectives among legal and accounting professionals, especially with the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape around ESG disclosures and integrated reporting,” says Tiffany. “I’m eager to help bridge this gap by bringing the accounting industry perspective to the Committee.”

Alongside the ESG Advisory group, Tiffany services offerings related to ESG strategy, largely supporting clients in beginning their ESG efforts through materiality assessments and carbon accounting. Her work for clients examines business risks and opportunities rooted in ethics, inclusion and sustainability.
