Marguerite Williams

Marguerite has over 10 years of IT Assurance experience in public accounting, two of which were at the Big Four, with over eight years performing SOC examination services.

She assists clients with SOC 1® and SOC 2® readiness assessments in preparation for SOC examinations, and performs SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3® examinations. Her understanding of financial processes helps with developing a clear set of controls to address internal controls over financial reporting (“ICFR”) for SOC 1 environments. Her comprehension of the SSAE reporting standards and trust services criteria helps with developing a clear set of controls that cover SOC 2 criteria.

Marguerite conducts independent testing of ITGC and application controls for external audit clients. Additionally, she helps develop ITGC frameworks for internal audit clients needing to develop ICFR, beginning with a brief overview of current processes and applications, to creating a risk assessment and developing the control environment, followed with testing the controls for design and effectiveness.

Marguerite has participated in BPM’s ITGC PCAOB reviews on numerous occasions. She has an active CISA license and received an Advanced SOC for Service Organizations Certificate from the AICPA.

Marguerite holds an active CPA license in California under the name Jennifer Marguerite Williams.
