Because community matters

Here at BPM, we put people first, always.

We’ve got an unrelenting commitment not just to our clients but also to the community. And we’re always finding new ways to use our skills and resources to make the world a better place.

Stewardship is in our DNA

Service is part of our daily life here at BPM. Our managers and partners serve on more than 80 business, community and nonprofit boards. That includes organizations like the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), ACG San Francisco and Junior Achievement of Northern California.

Our efforts support an array of organizations, including:

  • Junior Achievement
  • Angels Orphanage
  • Second Harvest Food Bank
  • Lindsay Wildlife Experience
  • Oakland Zoo
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin
  • Baby’s Bounty
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Dress for Success

We’re also proud to continue our nearly three-decade partnership with three local schools in underserved communities, where we facilitate arts education through our annual BPM School Partnership Art Contest.

Celebrate BPM Community Month

We celebrate by participating in high-impact projects, like helping the local environment through habitat restoration, processing clothing donations, sorting produce and canned goods for food banks, and more.

At BPM, May is a month of giving. That’s why we call it BPM Community Month.

This annual event allows us to live our values, forge stronger relationships within our teams and demonstrate our commitment to the communities where we live, work and play.

How we do it

The BPM community outreach team is responsible for empowering our team to continue making an impact with everything we do.

Dedicated team members in each office monitor their local communities to stay aware of the most important areas of need. Then, they use knowledge to connect BPM volunteers with difference-making opportunities.

Here’s a little of what the outreach team handles:

  • Organizing company- and office-wide volunteer and outreach events
  • Identifying strategic causes for BPM to support in service of our people-first values
  • Empowering colleagues to volunteer with organizations aligned with their skills and community need

BPM Community Month is a very special way for us to live our core values and serve the communities in which we work.
