“Tony and Tara are two amazing CPAs dedicated to serving our clients, our communities and our colleagues in the Greater Los Angeles area,” said David Jorgensen, Tax Partner and Partner-in-Charge of BPM’s South Coast Region. “These two leaders undoubtedly deserve the recognition, given their commitment to the future of our Firm and the accounting profession.”
Tony has nearly three decades of public accounting experience and uses his knowledge to provide exceptional Corporate Tax services to clients from BPM’s Long Beach, Calif. office. He goes above and beyond and acts as Executive Sponsor of the Firm’s Black Colleague Resource Group, supporting Black colleagues and the communities where we work and live.
“I am deeply honored to be included in the ‘Top 100 Accountants’ list,” says Tony. “It is inspiring to see the work we are all doing today to advance the industry and to create a greater sense of belonging for the next generation of CPAs.”
Based out of BPM’s Santa Monica, Calif. office, Tara has nearly 15 years of tax and accounting experience serving clients in the Greater Los Angeles area. When she is not helping clients with strategic tax planning services or supporting the community through nonprofit work, she leads BPM’s internal training committee to support and mentor colleagues. Earlier this year, Los Angeles Business Journal also recognized her as a “Leader of Influence: Minority CPAs.”
“I am immensely proud to be recognized alongside these impactful leaders in Los Angeles,” says Tara. “The accounting profession has been a place where my commitment to my career and my community have perfectly intersected. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to help other accountants at BPM and in Los Angeles find passion and purpose in their career journeys.”
Tony, Tara and the other winners receiv at a Top 100 Accountants Award Cocktail Reception and Dinner in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday, November 8, and featured in a special issue.
