We are proud to announce that Cindy Schoelen, Advisory Partner, has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal‘s prestigious Top 100 Accountants list for 2024. This recognition celebrates the region’s most influential accounting professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical skill and community impact.  

Based in BPM’s Long Beach, Calif. office, Schoelen leads a team of 30 professionals and brings more than three decades of experience in tax, audit and advisory services. She has been instrumental in growing BPM’s Southern California presence, particularly through her leadership during the Firm’s combination with O&S CPAs and Business Advisors in 2023.

Throughout her career, Cindy has been a champion for advancing women in accounting. She overcame systemic barriers in the 1980s to build a thriving practice. Her mentorship has helped countless young professionals advance their careers, with many rising to leadership positions.  

Cindy’s community impact extends beyond the profession through her service on the Finance Committee of Family Health Care Centers of Greater Los Angeles, where she helps strengthen financial controls for vital healthcare services in underserved communities.
