BPM Long Beach Partners cite benefits of business combinations for clients, and challenges in recruiting and retaining accounting professionals 

Following BPM’s January 2023 combination with O&S CPAs and Business Advisors, Advisory Partner Cindy Schoelen and Tax Partner Tony Gales were featured in a Los Angeles Business Journal article entitled, “Special Report: Accounting – Teaming Up”. The ability to offer expanded opportunities and services to both clients and team members is among the benefits of accounting firm combinations highlighted in the article. Schoelen, the former Managing Partner at O&S, discusses how her former firm and BPM were a cultural fit. She and Gales also mention that increased CPA licensing requirements may be a deterrent for students seeking a career in financial services.
