SAN FRANCISCO, Apr. 28, 2022 – BPM LLP, one of the 50 largest public accounting and advisory firms in the country, has seen yet another year-over-year jump – coming in at #21 on the 2023 “Accounting 25” list by Vault, a research company providing in-depth analysis of industry workplaces. Notably, BPM has also pushed into the top five for diversity.
“At BPM, we live our ‘Because People Matter’ brand promise every single day, and recognitions like this help to confirm that doing the very best for our clients means doing the very best for our own team,” said BPM Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Robert Blasi. “We are particularly pleased to be ranked so highly for diversity overall and within the categories of Racial and Ethnic Diversity, and LGBTQ+. This is a big part of our focus as an organization – we are committed to harboring a safe environment for all colleagues to be heard, share their honest opinions and feel valued.”
Through its commitment to people and the community, BPM moved up six spots on the 2023 “Vault Accounting 25.” The survey asked approximately 9,700 accounting professionals to rate firms based on quality-of-life factors and overall prestige. In addition to its achievements in diversity, Vault noted that BPM has made significant strides in its ESG initiatives and vacation policies.
Vault’s “Firsthand Findings” note: “As for the firm’s business outlook, BPM is growing quickly, it has a strong leadership team and its reputation is solid.”
BPM has launched and sustains numerous programs, both formal and informal, aimed at mentoring and empowering women and minority groups. These include BPM’s Inclusion Now! (IN!) Initiative, currently in its fifth year, and focused on delivering programming that reinforces a culture of belonging and support. Additionally, BPM was among the first firms in the accounting profession to sign onto the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge, a program aimed at rallying leaders across industries to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
In February, Vault released its 2022 North American Consulting Rankings, naming BPM’s Advisory practice on both the “Best Boutique Consulting Firms” (#31) and “Best Consulting Firms to Work For – Health and Wellness” lists (#25).
