Nick Steiner

Nick Steiner is Chief Executive Officer of BPM, one of the top 35 largest accounting and advisory firms in the U.S. With more than 25 years of experience across public accounting and private industry, Nick has spent over two decades at BPM, joining the Firm in 2006, where he has helped shape the Firm’s growth, technology leadership, and people-first culture from the inside out.  

Before stepping into the CEO role, Nick served as the Firm’s Chief Growth Officer, Advisory Practice Group Leader and Co-leader of the Technology Industry Group. He offers deep knowledge in serving a diverse range of technology clients, including semiconductor, SaaS, software, life sciences, networking, and manufacturing, and has guided companies through numerous initial public offerings, business combinations, financing arrangements, and complex SEC reporting and compliance matters. This experience has given Nick firsthand insight into what it takes to help ambitious organizations scale and thrive. 

Nick’s leadership philosophy is simple and consistent. He believes in hiring the best team, earning and extending trust, and empowering talented people to do their best work. He sees BPM’s future in the combination of two things that set the Firm apart: a close-knit, team culture where people matter, and a progressive, technology-forward mindset rooted in the cutting edge of innovation. Bringing those two strengths together and working as one unified firm is the vision he intends to lead by.  

Nick holds an active CPA license in California and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He earned a B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University and an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, and is a member of the AICPA and CalCPA.  

Outside the office, Nick is a devoted husband and proud dad, and an avid reader who finishes dozens of books a year. A committed outdoorsman at heart, he spends his free time skiing, hiking, and camping.
