Michelle is a leader in BPM’s R&D credit practice, with deep expertise in identifying and analyzing R&D costs under ASC 730 and preparing R&D credit provisions under ASC 740. Her work spans a wide range of engagements, from advising start‑up companies on qualified small-business payroll tax credit claims to performing complex Section 174 cost analyses for multinational corporations. Most recently, she oversaw the successful defense of a large public company’s multi-year R&D credit examination, resulting in credits well in excess of established reserves.

Michelle earned her Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.
