Alan Williford has nearly 15 years of experience as a transfer pricing specialist advising a range of clients on transfer pricing related matters. Alan has extensive experience with global transfer pricing documentation requirements and helping clients understand and implement appropriate arm’s-length policies efficiently.
Prior to joining BPM, Alan spent seven years in a transfer pricing practice at a Big Four. His first five years were spent in the Washington, DC area, serving clients in the pharmaceutical, technology, manufacturing and hospitality industries. Alan spent the next two years in San Jose, building relationships with Bay Area clients, focusing on valuation, cost sharing and global documentation projects, focusing primarily on the tech sector. Through working on the East Coast and West Coast, Alan has gained an understanding of the transfer pricing needs for a wide range of clients across many industries.
Alan received his Master of Arts degree in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he spent the first year of the program in Bologna, Italy, and second year in Washington, DC. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Alan speaks German with many of his clients located in the DACH / GSA region and visits the region several times a year.
