2017 Bay Area Best Places to WorkSAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – BPM has been recognized as a 2017 Bay Area “Best Places to Work,” an awards program presented by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Award applicants were evaluated and ranked across 5 categories according to the number of Bay Area employees. The ranking found companies in the region whose employees rate them as the highest on such values as fun, collaborative culture, solid compensation and benefits offerings and other amenities as well as management practices. The rankings will be unveiled on April 18, 2017, at the awards program. These winning organizations will be honored for having created exceptional workplaces that their employees value highly.

“BPM’s culture of Because People Matter is deeply ingrained in the way we conduct business with clients, each other and the community,” said Beth Baldwin, Chief People Officer. “Our manifesto of Attract, Develop and Retain focuses on coaching and development, learning to lead, being allowed flexibility through BPM Flex and being rewarded – all leading to our goal of retention.”

This is the third year in a row BPM has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work” and the only CPA firm included in the Top 10 Large Company category in 2015 and 2016. Last year, the Firm was recognized as the number one "Best Firm to Work for" in the nation, in the Large Firm Category by Accounting Today.

CEO Jim Wallace added, “We have a very positive workplace culture. When people are happy and enjoy what they are doing they are more engaged, and a more engaged workforce results in higher retention and lower turnover. It results in better service to clients and those two things result in a successful organization.”

BPM’s human-centric culture is also reflected in client service. In December, BPM earned the “Best of Accounting Award,” an honor less than one percent of all accounting firms in the U.S. and Canada earned for providing exemplary client service.
