Michael leads our Tax Controversy specialty team. He has extensive experience in tax compliance for not-for-profit organizations, family real estate partnerships, closely-held corporations, distribution and other service sectors. He is also well-versed in corporate, partnership and individual tax planning. He has more than 40 years of experience in public accounting at local and national firms. Before that, he also served for three years as a revenue agent for the IRS.

An avid reader and fan of all things fantasy and science fiction, Michael is a co-founder of the Bay Area Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Conference (BAYCON), which has been held (mostly) annually since 1982.
