Tara Wilson

As a Partner in BPM’s Tax Practice, Tara Wilson has extensive public accounting and taxation experience, with an emphasis in partnership taxation and real estate investments. She provides critical services including tax compliance and comprehensive strategic tax planning to clients in the real estate, professional services, consumer business and manufacturing industries. She also currently leads BPM’s REIT Tax Practice and specializes in accounting for income taxes, including the preparation and review of ASC 740 calculations.

Tara’s clients see her as a trusted advisor. She recently counseled a client through the acquisition of a $15 million commercial property, advised a different client on the tax implications of exercising various stock options and provided comprehensive tax consulting services for a real estate investment fund. In this latter engagement, she developed optimal tax structures that enabled the client to maintain operational control when partnering with third-party investors, ensuring flexibility for future acquisitions while maximizing tax efficiency and return on investment for all stakeholders.
