July 10, 2025

BPM Partner Karla Luna has been named Mentor of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2025 as part of the publication’s prestigious Women’s Leadership Symposium.

Luna was selected from approximately 400 nominees, earning recognition for her exceptional dedication to mentoring and developing the next generation of accounting professionals.

The Women’s Leadership Symposium celebrates outstanding women leaders who demonstrate exceptional mentorship, innovation, and community impact across Southern California’s business landscape.

“I’m deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said Karla. “What drives me every day is the opportunity to help others unlock their potential and build meaningful careers. Mentorship is about creating environments where people can thrive and become the leaders our profession needs.”

“Karla embodies the values that make our Southern California region so successful,” said David Jorgensen, Regional Partner in Charge of BPM’s South Coast region. “Her ability to see potential in others and create pathways for their success has been transformational for our team. What sets Karla apart is how she combines genuine care for people’s development with a strategic understanding of what it takes to build lasting careers.”

The Los Angeles Business Journal recently honored Karla and other award recipients at the Women’s Leadership Symposium in Los Angeles.
