Kris Marney leads BPM’s Family Office Services in the Advisory practice. Kris has over 25 years of experience in complex tax and partnership accounting expertise within the high-net-worth family office, venture capital, and private equity. She provides all facets of financial management of multi-partnership organizations including multi-entity administration, tax management, tax filings, tax planning, estate planning, treasury management, asset custody, and financial statement preparation. Kris also has experience with real estate development including Public Private Partnership developments, project delivery, and subsequent property management.
Kris has an extensive background working with clients, with twenty years as controller for an Ultra High Net Worth Family Office, and has expertise with Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 1040 & 990PF. Kris also served as Chief Accounting Officer for a Collegiate Housing Developer, facilitating Public Private Partnership housing projects for universities.
Kris is CGMA and CFP® certified and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Houston Society of CPAs. Kris has a BBA in Business Management from Texas State University, and a CFP® certification from Rice University’s Glascock School.
Kris Marney holds an active CPA license in Texas.
Kris has dogs that she considers her kids, loves to travel and drive fast cars, and considers herself a foodie.
