Dai Matsuya

Dai is a Tax Director in BPM’s Corporate Tax group in San Jose. He has more than 20 years of corporate tax experience, advising public and privately held multinational corporations.

During his nearly 16 years of public accounting experience, including 14 years with KPMG’s Business Tax Service group, he has served clients in a wide range of industries including software development/SAAS, manufacturing, semiconductors, food processing, life science, product development/ consumer products, gaming, medical device technology and gold/copper mining.

Dai serves as the lead accountant for many private and public multinational companies and has extensive experiences with a wide range of tax services including federal and state tax compliance, Income tax provision (ASC 740) assistance, inbound and outbound international tax consulting, international structuring, cash management, M&A transactions, transfer pricing and representing companies for federal and state tax examination.

Fluent in Japanese, Dai has extensive experience serving Japanese-owned U.S. subsidiaries with inbound taxation, ASC 740 and IAS 12 services, cross border transactions, transfer pricing and M&A transactions.

Dai holds an active CPA license in California under the name Daisaku Matsuya.
