Carolyn (Cotter) Gersovitz

Carolyn is the Director of Tax Operations at BPM, where she leverages her extensive background in corporate tax compliance and consulting to enhance operational efficiencies and strategic execution within the firm. With a focus on the high-tech and life sciences industries, Carolyn previously served as a Director on BPM’s Corporate Tax team. In this role, she co-led the Equity Tax Consulting team, providing critical advice on equity-based compensation for plan administrators and participants.

Before her current position, Carolyn spent four years in the private industry, specifically in telemedicine, managing tax, treasury, and equity functions. Her background encompasses a broad spectrum of tax compliance matters, including multi-state and international filings, federal and state tax incentives, income tax provisions, FIN48, and Section 382 analysis.

Today, Carolyn applies her client-facing technical skills to oversee BPM’s tax operations, focusing on integrating innovative tax solutions with robust operational strategies. Her leadership ensures that the Firm meets and exceeds our clients’ expectations and regulatory standards, maintaining BPM’s position at the forefront of the industry while nurturing the next generation of tax professionals.
