BPM’s Scharrell Jackson Quoted in Journal of Accountancy

BPM’s Scharrell Jackson recently discussed the importance and need for not only female leaders, but also black women leaders, in executive positions during a panel discussion at the AICPA’s 2020 ENGAGE conference. In a follow-up to the discussion, Scharrell sat down with the Journal of Accountancy to continue the conversation in an article published September 1, 2020.

“Diversity is not just how it looks, it’s how decisions are made,” Scharrell wrote to the reporter.

“Everything is tied to the bottom line,” she said. “If we want our organization to shift in the face of diversity, we must hold our partners and our executives financially responsible for that success.”
