Scharrell Jackson Highlighted in the OC Business Journal

Scharrell Jackson may have less than a year experience as BPM’s COO/Principal, but her history in the accounting industry spans over two decades and her reputation in the Orange County business community runs deep.

In the February 15, 2021 edition of the Orange County Business Journal, Scharrell is profiled in the publication’s Black Entrepreneurs Month series, where she discusses her journey C-level black woman in the accounting profession.

“When I started going to major firm events 15 years ago, I was the only Black in the C-Suite. Nowadays, I’m still the only Black in the C-Suite,” she said in the OC Business Journal. “There are still just a handful of women. It’s challenging when you are the only different person in the room.”

Scharrell also discussed BPM’s expansion in Southern California, and the Firm’s goal of quadrupling BPM’s Irvine office to 100 professionals.

“We have opportunities across all levels. Irvine and Long Beach. We’re looking to continue to expand in a variety of industries, manager and partner levels.”
