Lauren has 10 years of IT Security Advisory experience and provides clients with security practices towards attestation, authorization and certification. She excels at providing a hands-on approach to guidance that is tailored to the specific needs and size of the organization. Lauren typically serves small-to-medium companies that are growing their security compliance, as well as building their security programs and teams. She also seamlessly adapts to the needs of larger, global organizations and assists in meeting their compliance objectives.
Lauren has an extensive background in FedRAMP, ISO, NIST, GDPR and process management. Additionally, she has extensive training in Microsoft Excel and data modeling, and leverages these skills to create personalized tools, reports and scoring mechanisms for clients throughout the process.
This year, Lauren assisted a company in a fast-paced effort to prepare for their annual FedRAMP recertification. The client came to the IT Security Advisory team with a new CISO, following an abrupt departure by their previous CISO. She rallied with the team to complete in several months’ worth of work in four weeks, allowing them to successfully complete their recertification.
Lauren has also notable helped guide a large TeleCom company through their initial FedRAMP authorization, as well as immediately following a Significant Change Request. This included several on-sites before and during the audits, meetings, document preparation and review, and training for future maintenance of the authorization.
She commonly assists clients by acting as interim CISO for their organizations while they transition permanent leaders into the role. Lauren makes herself available to a wide variety of a client’s team, across departments, to prevent missing critical deadlines.
In her spare time, Lauren teaches fitness classes at a local gym. She has been teaching group fitness since 2011.
