BPM-Enabled Software for Communications and Media Companies Dramatically Improves Quality and Speed
of Service to Customers
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Savvion®, the trailblazing business process management (BPM)
company, today announced Savvion Communications Foundation, a comprehensive set of capabilities which
enable quick definition and deployment of carrier grade solutions for the communications and media industry.

Communications Foundation is built on top of Savvion’s industry-leading business process management
software, Savvion BusinessManager™. The new product suite provides the ability to promptly build solutions
such as trouble ticketing, returns and repair, number portability, network order management, and other solutions that handle some of the most critical functions facing communication service providers. Savvion
Communications Foundation was used to develop the Communications Order Management Solution (COMS
7.0) for customer orders, which Savvion first announced on September 30, 2008. Savvion will be demonstrating its new Communication Foundation at next week’s TMForum Management World in Orlando, Florida, in booth #121.
Communications Foundation is one in a series of domain foundation products that Savvion is creating to
address increasing demands for critical enterprise application solutions that are highly agile, provide visibility into business metrics and process performance, increase the productivity and quality of business operations, and enable business users to improve their operations without taking on lengthy IT redevelopment efforts.
“Our new Communications Foundation is another significant step forward in delivering business-driven BPMenabled solutions,” said Dr. Ketabchi, President, CEO and Founder of Savvion. “Our customers have told us — and we have listened very carefully — that having the agility and visibility to change and improve their processes increases productivity and are key to their success. Communications Foundation addresses these requirements and allows them to differentiate themselves in a competitive market.”
“With the increase in mergers and acquisitions, the trend of bundling of voice, data, mobile, and content service, and the shifting of the global competitive landscape, communication service providers are under tremendous pressure to rapidly deploy new and changing service offerings to their customers, ” said Sanjay Kumar, Vice- President of Communications and Media Solutions at Savvion. “With this new Foundation, we are the first in the industry to provide the ability to deploy solutions that help service providers meet their goals at the pace that their business demands while deliver in-year returns on investment.”
Savvion Communications Foundation leverages Savvion’s successful track record of building advanced order
management and other BPM-based, next-generation Operational Support System (OSS) solutions for many of the world’s leading communication and media companies. These solutions can be overlaid on top of existing systems, or can be used to replace traditional systems that have become too cumbersome and costly to adapt to rapidly changing business needs.
